Continuing on northward into Yellowstone.  My dad and I spent a lot of time up here but I hadn't been back into the park since then. In the interim there has been a significant fire. But despite the dramatic change of the landscape, it seemed very familiar.

Here's way too many pictures. If'n I were a good and diligent blogger I would have detailed descriptions of each picture, linked to Google Maps for handy reference. Instead I'll say that these are from a variety of different geyser basins with in the park. Old Faithful, Norris, Midway, Biscuit.






I got into bacteria mats too, marveling at the microcosmos they represent.
